CPL T20 2023

Imad Wasim to play for Trent Rockets in The Hundred

Trent Rockets have made a significant signing ahead of The Hundred tournament, as they have brought in Pakistan’s all-rounder Imad Wasim for the first three games. Imad replaces Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, who unfortunately had to pull out due to injury.

Imad Wasim, the talented left-arm spinner, will be seen in action for the Trent Rockets in their matches against Southern Brave today, Birmingham Phoenix on August 5, and Northern Superchargers on August 9. However, his stint with the Rockets will be short-lived, as he is set to fly to the West Indies to participate in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023.

In the CPL, Imad will represent the defending champions, Jamaica Tallawahs. He will be joined by his fellow countryman, Mohammad Amir, in the team.

Meanwhile, in the CPL auction, Pakistan’s Azam Khan secured an impressive deal with Guyana Amazon Warriors, signing a contract worth $120,000. This makes him the highest-paid Pakistan cricketer in the league, a testament to his talent and potential.

The upcoming edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is scheduled to take place from August 17 to September 24. The tournament will be held across various Caribbean venues, including Saint Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, and Guyana. Cricket fans can look forward to some exciting and competitive matches during this period.
