Syeda Khushbakht, the wife of former Pakistani cricket captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, recently expressed her disappointment with people who constantly criticize her husband in a now-deleted tweet. She urged for divine guidance and mercy upon those who spread hateful comments about Sarfaraz, as it deeply affects her. The criticism came after Sarfaraz’s underwhelming performance in both Tests against Sri Lanka.
During the last Test, Sarfaraz suffered a blow to his head while trying to evade a bouncer, leading to his immediate replacement by Mohammad Rizwan as a Concussion Substitute. However, his return to Test cricket earlier in the year against New Zealand saw him making an incredible century, earning him widespread praise from the cricketing world.
In the latest development, Sarfaraz has been signed by B-Love Kandy for this year’s Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023, according to sources. The team, co-owned by Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, includes former Pakistani cricketers Javed Miandad as a mentor and Mushtaq Ahmed as the head coach.
Sarfaraz will be playing alongside his national teammates Mohammad Hasnain, Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Aamer Jamal, and Mohammad Haris for B-Love Kandy in the LPL 2023, staying in Sri Lanka after the Tests to participate in the league.
